They’ll win 7-9 games like we all pretty much predicted at the beginning of the season. I’ll say an even 8 sounds about right. The defense, running game and special teams will find away to carry Zach to 8 wins this year.
Dolphins will probably have Tua, in which case they are the #2 team in the division. Looking more like 7-9 to me.
Ok. Sounds good right? But
what if:
Zach doesn’t get better
the team loses faith in Zach and quits
we go 8-8 again next season and Zach still hasn’t improved. Probably not drafting a franchise QB at 8-8 unless we are lucky which we are not
lets face it, if we win 8 after starting 5-2, then Zach probably didn’t live up to expectations or hopes
at this point, we pretty much have to win a game that we are not supposed to and Zach has to be the reason. Seems easy enough. 1 game. Even bad QB’s do that
Yup. Which would be ok at the beginning of the season had we at least split with belichick. But after starting 5-2, 7-9 doesn’t inspire hope anymore
when the season began, I hoped for 500 at worst. Not as a happy point, just as a worst case with some hope. We added a ton of talent. Parcells takes us somewhere with this talent

The season is usually a roller coaster. There’s so much football left, I’m going to just sit back and watch. I can see it going any number of ways. If Zach shits the bed, then all of his detractors can congratulate themselves on how right they were. If Zach plays better, and the Jets win, then said detractors can backpedal and have the benefit of enjoying it all while looking like fools throwing the towel in on him so early.

See, this is just wrong. Sorry. You’re being emotional about it. You’re singling out Wilson despite the fact that the Jets made many mistakes today in all three phases. They lost as a team.
I agree...........sort of. There's no denying that Zach shit the bed today but as you said , the physical talent is there but his thought processes are slow and questionable much of the time. I don't know how you correct that problem other than game reps, game reps, and more game reps. Do any fans want to endure the number of games that might take ? I don't know the answer to that. He has the makings of a really good QB but unfortunately he also has those bad habits of a bust QB. I'm expecting the Jets, mostly because they drafted him so high to weather the storm with him in hopes that he will get his act together before end of season. Lord help these Jets and their fans because they sure need lots of help.
They may have lost as a team but the downward spiral started with the Zach interception late in the second quarter. Yes the JFM penalty (that truly shouldn’t have been) was a true killer as well but they wouldn’t have even been in that situation if it wasn’t for the interception.
They were driving for the halftime touchdown or field goal. That right there makes the score 17-3 or 13-3. The second half Zach killed the team even worse with the other stupid ints. This lost was was totally on Zach, I’m sure if you asked him he would tell you that. Even though they lost as a team.
Zach made himself look like a highschooler today. He didn't need any help from Belichick. His decision making and infrequent passing accuracy did it all.
Good point. The defense and special teams were less than stellar today as well and the "O" line wasn't very efficient at giving Zach time. And...........as I alluded to above we likely have no choice but to be supportive and hope these guys get it figured out before end of season so that next season there will be real reason for hope.
