In a game with those windy conditions, things become more predictable. Both teams knew that running the ball would be key. It’s a matter of which side is going to decide to dominate the LOS. Part of that is talent, and part of that is attitude. Injuries hurt us, but the offensive line has to be better than that when establishing the run is so important in a game like this. The entire offense was terrible yesterday. Wilson gets the crucifixion because he’s the QB. But there was plenty of blame to go around.

if by "freaking out" you mean some have come to terms with the real idea that the 2nd pick in the draft is not very good at NFL football or taking accountability, then i agree.. apologies but i do believe my lying eyes.. josh allen's 2nd year in the league notwithstanding..

Yes, but Jets fans are freaking out, too. This way after every game. Jets fans lose sight of the forest for the trees. Whatever the previous game's result was determines how the fans see the team, rather than larger snapshots. Sample size seems lost among some Jets fans.

Everyone’s riding high after Buffalo, talking playoffs, and all’s well in the world.

Then they have a setback game, and the sky is falling. Like it or not, Wilson’s getting all of this year and probably next, despite some fans wishes. Coaches and GM’s don’t see things the same way as fans.

I think they’re looking at the season as a whole. Not isolated games.

you really think ball players want to hear a damn thing from their coaches or GMs when the QB is the teams weakest link on a playoff ready roster & you keep playing the guy regardless??

good luck trotting wilson out there for another year & a half while continuing playing shitty football without losing the locker room & people getting canned..

This is why I dreaded the playoff, division title, or top seed talk. This year has already been a massive step forward. We can't just move the goalposts and then get upset because the team didn't reach those new goalposts.

The fact that we probably don’t have a QB is what everyone is upset about more than anything other than losing to belichick every time for 7 years and almost every time for 25 years

But weren't we impressed with Wilson's strong arm? Strong enough to cut through the wind?
Shouldn't the game plan have plays in it to let him compete SOMETHING? And if not the original game plan, what about making adjustments at half time. It looked like he didn't have decent plays to audible into.
This was an abomination and I'm not sure it was all his fault. A lot falls on the OC, too.

& jones who has average NFL arm strength at best threw for almost 250 in the same conditions & wilson laughably for whatever reason said the wind was effecting him as well..

I think he’s putting Wilson on notice. Showing the team that nobody is beyond being benched. But yeah, I expect Wilson will start Sunday. He’s lighting a fire under his ass.

i would be stunned if wilson is not the starter but he will be on a leash..

i would also be stunned at this point if wilson gets past halftime playing like ass..

For what it's worth.............my critique of the game................Zach played poorly, but, the loss is not on him. It's the offense as a whole. Sure Zach's passing game failed but so did the running game........big time. That's not on Zach. Lets put the blame where it belongs..........the offensive line. they couldn't block anything or at least they didn't. The defense played well. They kept us in the game, but even they had a lot of missed tackles and allowed too many passing yards. Special teams actually played pretty well up until our last punt. Had they stopped that touchdown return the game would have gone into overtime and we would have had another chance at winning the game. It's a terrible way to lose the game. I am pretty certain though that I saw the same illegal block in the back on the return that others saw but the officials say it didn't happen. Our kicker held his own at least. In spite of this aggravating loss I still believe the Jets are the better team. As far as benching Zach............I'm not crazy about our other options either. White had one excellent game.....one. Flacco isn't nearly as mobile or as good at long passes. I would be surprised if they switch the starting QB.

Yup.
Offense sucked.
Lafluer sucked, forgot to call his brother at halftime and ask for adjustments.
Defense stopped them but always gave up enough yards first to put offense in bad field position after the punt.

this is a tough spot. Zach seems to be clueless especially vs. belichick. His body language and facial expressions as he walked onto the field for the first drive told me it would be a long day.

Flacco would not do well behind yesterdays line. If we try White or Strev, do we catch lightning in a bottle, or d we catch herpes?

while it wasn’t all Zach’s fault, I hate his attitude in the presser and I’m really not sure he understands the game or has the mindset to play in NY(NJ, actually). He has shown me the same as Sam. If either had won one game on his own, I would have a glimmer of hope but neither did/has.
