I didn't buy into the pre-draft hype. I knew he could pass but his passing game has even improved since then. He can beat you many ways. This game will be so one sided that I might not even watch. I may have already said that but it was worth saying again. It would be a tough game even if we had all of our starters healthy and in the game which of course we don't so there is little hope that we won't be thoroughly trounced.
I think it's going to be very ugly unless Jackson gets knocked out of the game.

I want to see the pats down 5 and Brady to throw a beautiful TD pass as time expires....
Only to have a replay overturn the TD for an excruciating loss.

This is the NFL though, and as Houston found out against Denver 'On any given Sunday......'. If only it wasn't being played on a Thursday!

Only if NE loses another game. They have the tiebreaker over the Bills. Possible but unlikely that the pats finnish 1-2. I don't see them losing to the Dolphins or Bengals.

No, Buffalo just has to win their three games. That's all.
(One of these three games is against NE, and the Bills will have the tiebreaker at the end by virtue of a better conference record.)

Buffalo needs the Patriots to lose another game to the Dolphins or Bengals plus they have to win out to win the division. They would have the same W-L record, tie head to head, have the same conference record so the tiebreaker would be vs common opponents, and NE wins there.
I believe you are overlooking the Dolphins game that would give NE the final conference win.

Nope. Trust me, Tony, the math is correct. Buffalo wins out, and they take the division. Finishing 3-0, Buffalo will be 12-4, 5-1 in the division and 9-3 in the conference. Finishing 2-1 (with the loss being against the Bills), NE will be 12-4, 5-1 in the division and 8-4 in the conference.
Not that the Cheats deserve that much discussion, but I would surely and thoroughly enjoy seeing them lose on the road in the wild card round. Asking the Bills to finish 3-0 is a bit aggressive, but I do think it's doable.

You actually just confirmed the math doesn't work out.
Conference is the 4th tiebreaker it doesn't have any bearing on the seeding. The Patriots win the third tiebreaker, common opponents.
Head to Head is first
Divisional W-L is second
Common opponents is third
Conference W-L is fourth
Common opponents are the Bills undoing . They must win out and have the Pats lose another game to either the Bengals or Dolphins. Trust me.

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs
  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory.
  6. Strength of schedule.
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss

I stand corrected! I always assumed "conference record" came before common games" in the tiebreaking order, but that's only valid for teams not in the same division.
Once again, you were right!

Go Bengals this week!

I'm hoping it's the Dolphins, just to kick them back in the draft order.
NFL does everything differently.
SOS is a simple formula every league uses, but the NFL even Jack's that up adding strength of victory to the formula.

The Jets as good of a chance of winning as I do finding my dream women. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

Now this is no surprise to none of us but might be surprising is the score. The Jets will either lose by 60 or shock the world and lose by 3. They are just that type of team. I'm predicting the 60!
