No, no. The kid is making mistakes, but the talent is there. Let him make his mistakes and continue to grow.
Next step will be building a line in front of him. But stay patient with Sam. We haven't seen a QB with this much talent in a long, long time.
We will never know if Darnold could be good because Mac ruined this roster and had 5 years to prepare for a QB. He ruined the roster specifically the OL and no QB can succeed here and it will take years.
At this point, I don't mind him throwing another. I just don't want him getting killed back there.
Ho-Lee-Fook, another sack. On the brigh side, wasn't a pick. There is that ray of sunshine.
No more defense of Gase from me. At this point, the only reason to keep him after this season is to keep Sam from having to learn yet another system.

I truly hope Joe Douglas can draft. This team needs a lot of help and it's going to take a few years.
We say it in an offhanded manner a lot, but our O Line is not NFL caliber. Not by a long sight (thank you Marcellus Wallace). Couple that with a QB prospect who is clearly confused or just prone to making bad decisions, and you are left with what we watch week after week: A stunning disaster.
This is a train wreck. What a sad situation.
Knowing our history, and that he was Gase's pick, I have every confidence he will fuck it up. Big time.
