Being a Jets fan for 35+ years has already been an embarrassment. None of my friends have said a word to me about being 0-16, but they came out of the woodwork to tell me how we blew the chance to get Trevor. The Jets did exactly what they've always done to us fans when we gave a shit. This was a very Jetsy kind of collapse. Please let us fans that want the #1 pick enjoy being one step closer. Its all we have.

It was the perfect way and Jetsiest way to lose at the same time. What made it perfect is the Jets played well for most of the night and didn't embarrass themselves like usual on National TV. It also showed Trevor the Jets are still making an effort to play hard. What made it a Jetsy way to lose is exactly what he said. Tossing it up for grabs with a 7 pt lead when the defense had played pretty good all night. Another Jets move was to sprint over to touch the guy down after the last catch. Might have been able to bleed the last 3 seconds. I have no idea who the better QB prospect is, but since they ruined Darnold and need to reset the rookie QB contract and a generational QB is possible then they have to take him. 0-16 guarantees that too happen. Ideally the Jags win one more and the Jets can end the season with a win vs the Pats to keep them out of the playoffs for a 1-15 record and Trevor Lawrence as the #1 pick.
Just watched this. For three quarters it was almost like watching an NFL team, but Jets find a way. Trevor Lawrence went to the bathroom thinking his NFL career had been saved, and emerged to find.... 'The Jets did WHAT???'. Looked like there might be a QB controversy as well until Flacco threw the first down pick when we needed to rest the defense and then held onto the ball far too long and got sacked. Zuniga finally made an appearance (at least a visible one) as the 'twelfth man'.

I agree. Ownership is so important in the NFL. That's why there are teams that go on re-set and succeed, and then you have teams like the Jets unfortunately that go on re-set annually.
Why would they sell? Just owning a team increases in equity probably 10% a year. to hell with the fans, yes to the money!
