What to do with LB Jarrad Davis?

The Jets can do better than Davis in their pursuit of linebacker depth. Last year was a chance for Davis to prove he could get back on track with a change of scenery. His preseason injury was unfortunate, but he wasn’t all that productive once he worked his way back to full health. New York can replace 25 tackles for a whole lot less than the $5.5 million Davis received in free agency last offseason. Don’t expect him to return in 2022.

What to do with S Marcus Maye?

The Jets have a lot to consider when it comes to Maye. The need for a quality safety is apparent and Maye is just that — even if he regressed a bit in 2021 before injuring his Achilles. On the flip side, New York has the chance to allocate any funds it would have used to re-sign Maye on bringing in a true upgrade, like Bengals star Jessie Bates III. The Jets can consider bringing Maye back if he doesn’t play hardball and wants to negotiate something along the lines of a one-year prove-it deal. If he still wants a lucrative multi-year pact, it’s time for New York to move on.

What to do with WR Jamison Crowder?

Crowder has been a solid player for the Jets when he’s been on the field. There’s no debating that. However, New York is building for the future and Crowder does not necessarily fit those plans. He turns 29 in June and while that makes him far from ancient, the Jets can get younger and also upgrade at the same time. New York might entertain bringing Crowder back if its pursuits of other wide receivers fall short, but don’t count on him suiting up for the Jets next season.

None.

Rock with Mike White as QB backup #2.

He might look a lot better after having Jets experience from 2021 under his belt.
Post Season Presser they stated they want Flacco back
Would be surprised if they bring back both
There are a couple of similar options to Wilson who could go undrafted - practice squad candidates

Here's a juicy tidbit that I read about a week ago. Likely not true but what the hell. I found it interesting. The Falcons are strapped cap wise and can't afford to give Cordarrelle Patterson the money he will demand to stay. He's a free agent this off season and they will lose him. They desperately need safety help. The author of the article, I don't recall because I thought it was outlandish at the time and didn't give it much thought. But, he seemed to think that the Jets were talking trade..........Paterson for Maye. The more I thought about it the more sense it made. Falcons are going to lose him anyway why not get something for him. Jets could just wait for him to hit free agency but then there would be a lot of competition for him. Gotta wonder.........................................

nothing to wonder, Patterson would take snaps away from Elijah Moore and Michael Carter and they want to build through the draft, keeping that in mind they don't want a 30 going to be 31 in March who is going to seek Market Value $9.1 M annual sorry but no thank you we should of drafted him but he would of turned into a bust if we did

You are probably sooooooooooo right. Like I said, it sounded outlandish to me too but then again stranger things have happened.

you must of read one of those Falcon fans or some nutter who is trying to break news of something that will never happen I could be wrong but from the time spent at Florham Park this season I would highly doubt that would happen

remember they use Moore and Jeff Smith in those roles that Patterson does and rather run it with them then over pay a guy that won't help our team grow, and develop just like offering Davante Adams $30 M annual when our team is far from competitive to win a championship he is that glorified icing on the cake piece to get us over the hump, we are not even near the bump to the hump to make that type of move...

Marcus Maye is done here, plain n simple look to free agency for a player coming off their rookie contract at half the value of what Maye's Market Value is someone like Jordan Whitehead (Buccaneers) and he will be only 25 next season, pair him with Ashtyn Davis also 25 or Pinnock 23 as the tandem at safety next year...

My two biggest objections to him are #1, the Falcons only signed him to a one year deal, likely because of........#2 his age. I like the new Jet direction of staying as young as possible which is also why I think we will see vets dropped from our roster this season.

Falcons needed a gimmick to be relevant with Matt Ryan's age and up/down career
For us he would be more of a roster stain
Look they already stating Corey Davis signing was one of the worst in 2021
No need to have another red flag move

Why spend big bucks on a WR in FA. We have big Bucks tied up in Corey Davis. Draft a WR in the 2nd and 4th Rounds. If we are going to spend. Spend it on one player on Defense and add quality 2nd tier players (young) players who won't cap strap us in future years.
