we'll see, but I truly believe they won't entertain him as a potential free agent...

Signing a veteran is a possibility on a one to two year deal, could continue the course with another draft pick...

I know this priority for this coaching staff which means front office as well is safety first... drafting edge and idl are both on the table, not saying they might add through the draft some depth but they have a plan...

also believe there is a sentiment that they would be okay to role with the corners they had last year starting, just saying...

You may be right. To me, it's a healthy philosophical difference on how to build a team.

three tiers or three years
first year bring in the plan, evaluation of potential free agents
second year replace evaluated players, draft accordingly
third year is show me year that means sign a couple of over top type players to take the roster to the next level

after the three year period no excuses, injuries should not be a factor because the depth has been established

I like a plan, finally a plan.

I hear a lot about that happening but it's hard to tell where the noise is really coming from. I wouldn't have a problem with that signing if the price is right.

interesting option if the Titans don't ink him and he tests free agency he could be a steal of signing technically a 3-4 OLB could be converted into a 4-3 DE within Saleh's defense? maybe?

If he could fit the 4-3 he would definitely be a steal. He had a very productive season if I recall correctly.

Strictly a 34 OLBer imo
I scouted him personally at Boston College:
Landry lacks premium size, but his burst, stride length and ability to dip and rip around the edge give him special potential as an edge rusher. Landry lacks strength at the point of attack and may be a designated pass rusher early in his career. While he can play standing for 3-4 teams, he's at his best with his hand in the dirt as a rusher. Landry can get by as an NFL rusher with just speed and athleticism, but he has an opportunity to become a Pro Bowler if he can improve his hand usage and develop an inside counter.

Even if he gets healthy he wasn't an impressive receiver imo.
okay again understanding our scheme and our needs:
Four-year starter and one of the team leaders who helped to turn Penn State's fortunes around. Big slot who lacks shiftiness from the slot, but is able to uncover with disciplined, consistent routes. Much like his athletic ability, his production was solid, but nothing special. While his size is a bonus for teams who like big-bodies in the slot, how he runs and tests could go a long way into if and when he gets drafted. He could land on the back end of the roster, but it needs to be the right team.

Just because he is a high character player that was a captain three out of four years at Penn State, he is a leader and workhorse. His route running will be exemplified in this offense, because LaFleur's game plan predicates on crisp route running which we lacked throughout the wide receiver room last year. He is still young and would come in on more of an incentive laden deal he could be a sleeper free agent signing if they go that route.

I hear you. I understand exactly where you are coming from, but...I haven't seen those qualities from him in recent years. Not saying they aren't there just that he didn't look like that guy before he tore his ACL to me. If it was a low cost incentive type deal I'd give him the shot because I know that at one time the niners were trying to cut a deal for him.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner?:

Head coach Robert Saleh and Wagner crossed over for two seasons in Seattle from 2012-13. During that time the former Utah State product helped the Seahawks win their first and only Super Bowl championship in franchise history.

The 31-year-old (will be 32 by the start of the 2022 season) has been to eight Pro Bowls, owns six first-team All-Pro nominations, and has led the league in tackles twice.

Durable player, has only missed 10 games and has played in 151 of 161 possible contests.
