On paper we should win. We have the type of penetrating defense that should disrupt the Philly offense without even needing to blitz. And when we blitz Bradford is a china doll statue. On offense we should improve again even without Decker and Philly is without their best defensive player.
BUT
I just really worried we will have a big crash in this game. Short week, unlikely to get a bunch of turnovers again, Revis possibly out, Decker and Owusu out, Reilly out.
The big one for me is that decent teams very very rarely start 0-3. Teams know that their season is effectively over at 0-3 (only 3 teams ever made playoffs since current alignment) and Philly just cannot be as bad as they look can they?
Unlikely we go 16-0, but I think this team really needs to be 4-0 going into the bye. If we falter in the next couple of weeks things could go awry.
I am super excited about this team, and knew we would beat the massively overrated Luck, but just nail bitingly nervous about this one. Like not a close game nervous. Do not know why.

The Eagles will NOT be able to run the ball on us, that's not going to happen. We've been very effective stopping the run for many seasons now and we are substantially stronger in our run defense now.
I'm not worried about the Eagles offense. The Jets D should have no trouble keeping them under control.
This is more about can the Jets offense continue to play and protect the ball? The Jets O cannot turn the ball over. Fitz needs to take what the defense gives him. Do NOT try anything more. The Eagles are going to stop our running game, that much is for sure. They're hoping to force Fitz to win the game through the air. They'll succeed in putting the ball Fitz hands. But Fitz must play well.
The defense will do its part and more. The offense must meet the grade. If they do, we'll win.

You're going to have to come to grips with the fact that you "worrying" about a game has absolutely no impact on the outcome of the game. None. So you "being nervous" about a game is nothing more than mental masturbation. It's actually kind of cowardly.
It's a subconscious way of protecting yourself. If the Jets lose, then you've already protected yourself. You can pull the old, "See, I told you so" bullshit out of your ass and you'll feel somewhat good about yourself. You'll feel smart. If the Jets win, then you'll say, "I'm a Jets fan, woo hoo!!!!". You'll feel smart.
So, either way, you are protected.
If you're going to be "on the ledge" every week, they you are simply delusional and probably should seek medical attention for mental illness. They have great medications out there now for people like you.

You're not wasting anyone's time! This is a scary feeling for jets fans. when was the last time we expected to dominate any team?
We're not the Rex Jets anymore. Remember how we used to lose every night game? No more! We were prepared to play against the Colts and we took it to them. Your thoughts are natural - I have had them also - but this is a NEW era! The old Jets occasionally beat teams we didn't expect to beat, but we lost a ton of games to teams we should have beaten. The Eagles need a mercy kill, and we are going to provide it!

I expect us to win, but wouldn't be surprised if we lost. With that said I think we have a different mindset and culture than we have had since Parcells.

I agree, we should win. If they manage the same pressure up the middle they got against Luck, Bradford will collapse.
The injury report concerns me. It appears there will be some key players missing. Other key players will be playing hurt to various degrees.
