If the Jets won their home games, Klecko would literally hangout and tailgate with fans after the game, have a few beers. I've never seen anything like it from a star athlete, or any professional athlete for that matter. That's awesome. He and Klecko are my favorite all-time Jets.

If they lost he was too depressed to party, he took losing hard, but he'd still hangout for a long time and sign autographs.
I know the feeling. I was just a HS Senior back then too. I told my friend, lets go over to the players exit following a win, its better than sitting in traffic trying to get out of here. We'll get a few beers and watch the players leave, something we had never done before. A few of the players hungout much longer than I expected, interacting with the fans, but I was in shock when Joe Klecko literally looked at me and my friend, and our cooler of beers, and asked us for a cold one. :-0When the New Jersey Generals played in the USFL, my family had season tickets, and two players made a regular habit of coming over and tailgating with us after wins. To this 12-year-old, that was a huge deal at the time. Tom Woodland and James Lockette.
