One year deals filling Jets roster for years to come...

There are many players on the roster that have been signed to one year deals by new GM Mike Maccagnan.

Stevan Ridley
Joe Mays
James Brewer
Willie Colon
Kellen Davis
Erin Henderson
Corey Hilliard
Sean Hooey
Jamari Lattimore


Many of these players IMHO, will be on a "SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT" contract. If they perform in an average rate and become let go, they will easily be signed by other teams, hence increasing our compensatory picks in 2017. We may have around the same picks as we did in '14. Roughly twelve or more.

These players are on performance laden contracts. If they perform beyond expectation, then of course they will be retained for years to come.

Granted, if they all make the team.
