Since no one ever reads the off topic board and this fight is a big deal I have moved it here.
Let's go Manny! I actually went to a Jets game once and he sat two or three rows behind me. I had no idea until later in the game the rest of the crowd was chanting Manny! Manny! Manny! He was posing for pics too. I didn't ask for one but I took a close up lol.

I tell you, this is the biggest fight of 2008.
Really, its very disappointing, the guy just refuses to mix it up so his fights are boring.
I understand and appreciate good defense as much as the next guy, but when all you want to do for 12 Rounds is take pot-shots and then clutch or get on your bicycle, it makes for incredibly boring fights. I stopped buying PPV fights a long time ago, but tonight I got sucked into the hype and splurged for the 100 dollars. For that kind of money I feel cheated and I can assure you that is the last PPV fight I will ever buy.
I used to love boxing back in the 70's and 80's, as much as I love football, now I've lost all interest and this fight reminded me why. If this is what passes for a Superfight nowadays, I'm officially done with the sport.
And it wasn't only the Heavyweights that were exciting back in the day. Go watch Leonard/Duran I or Leonard/Hearns or Pryor/Arguello I and the list is endless. Those fights had more excitement in 1 Round than this snoozefest had in 12.
I stopped paying for fights after Tyson ate Holyfields ear. They aren't worth it especially not anything to do with Mayweather.
The guy just doesn't want to fight. I'm sorry man, but he fights like a pu**y. Sugar Ray Leonard had great defense too, but he tried to take your damn head off in the ring. In his first fight with Duran, one of the most feared punchers on the planet, Leonard was in there mixing it up, trying to knock Duran out. Hearns was another knockout artist and Leonard was trying to kill him. All this guy does is throw pot-shots and run or grab, like he's scared to death of getting hit.
I had a mutual friend with Chuck (the Bayonne bleeder) Wepner. Nicest guy you could meet. He had hands bigger than a dinner plate. I shook his hand and my entire hand was the size of his palm.

I was really shocked to hear about all of Mayweather's spousal abuse charges. Why would a professional boxer even think about punching a female. I lost a lot of respect for him after that story, and still think that boxing sucks.
