Our New York Jets fandom dilemma now!

Here’s my dilemma but I’m sure we all feel the same way about this. We all want to see the Jets win and go as far as they possibly can this year. Let’s say at least a second round playoff run (AT THE LEAST). If that’s the case then we all know we’ll have to continue to deal with Rodgers and Hackett for another year or two. Do we really want that, is my question?

Yes I want the Jets to win more than anything but at what cost? I’m already tired of dealing with this Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett bullshit! Rodgers ain’t no where the player he was 10 years ago, 7 years ago. Hell, 3 years ago! So do we really want to deal with this BS past this year??? At the cost of the Jets winning this year, I’d have to say yes. Not confidently but yes.

Especially if they win a SB, which we all know that ain’t happening! SMDH

Go all in. We may all be dead soon.

So TCT, does that mean they should also trade for D. Adams and if so, what are you willing to give up?

Yes trade for Adams. Not our money, right? I would be willing to give up a 3rd round pick and Gipson I think.
That sounds fair but you know they are going to ask for G. Wilson or Breece Hall and/or a 1st or 2nd round pick or a combination of something like that. If so, I’d say hell no! He’s 31 years old and Rodgers is 40 and we see how much he’s lost in the game. It’s not worth anything more than a 3rd rounder and Gibson, IMO.

I truly don’t want Davante Adams to be honest. I think he’ll just add to the drama and bullshit. An aging WR and QB that are past their glory days but still bring the drama and confusion, but what do I know.

This is hypothetical of course because promoting the DC will not fix the offensive line. But it isn't possible for the Jets to get to the second round of the playoffs without Rodgers and Hackett (and Carter) doing a good job, and if that happens why would we be unhappy? Otherwise Rodgers has a limited time left in his NFL career and once he retires Hackett and Carter are unprotected.

I don't think JD would do that so we probably don't have to worry.

So I want to retract my earlier post of what Brick should do in running this team. I thought about it rationally and I think these are the 3 options on how Brick can run this shit show. IMO, 2 of them will work against him tremendously if he does it this way and it doesn’t work. The other he can come out on top greatly.

1. He can play the bitch role and continue to let A-Rod and Hackett run this shit show. Not even attempt or truly attempt to do anything about it in making changes and when it fails, he gets fired of course and now the other owners realize that he handled his opportunity like a chump and got played! Why would they want to hire him after that.

2. He can show his ass and totally turn everything around, not be willing to work with or listen to reason with anyone on the offense and be stern in his decisions. If it works out and they make the playoffs, good for him. If it doesn't, now he has to answer for that. Of course he’ll get fired and this probably won’t work for him either with other teams.

3. He can be a true HC and get involved in all sides of the ball and listen, learn and lean on his coordinators and QB. If what they’re talking about and even better doing isn’t working, then make the decisions and change things up whether they like it or not. If it works GREAT! If it doesn't, he at least was reasonable and took the reins when it had to be done.

This may not help him keep his job with the Jets but he’ll definitely get looked at with other teams as a potential HC and be well respected.

So I just watched the Aaron Rodgers interview on the Pat McAfee show and I gotta say I feel a little bit confident on where this will go from here. So Aaron says in a nutshell, that he knows change needs to happen and he supports Brick and whatever changes he wants to make. He says he wants to win, that’s all he cares about and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

If this is the case then we are already on the right path. Aaron says he knows he needs to play better and he will. He knows or believes that if he did play better and they won the Minnesota game, Saleh would still have his job. He says the team needs to rally around HC Brick, support him, lock arms and they need to win to shut up the nay sayers. He thanked Coach Saleh at the end and wished him and his family well.

Now the things he said indirectly that was a little troubling was that he made it outright clear that he loves Hackett and they have a great relationship but him and Saleh had no issues and were good with each other. You could tell it wasn’t really genuine. Now of course he wasn’t going to outright say on national TV that he got Saleh fired and he doesn’t like the guy.

We all get that but maybe he honestly didn’t! He admitted that he and Woody spoke the day before the firing but it was a five minute conversation of Woody just checking on his health. Take that where you want to go with it! Now I honestly don’t believe that he had no knowledge of it and it all came from no where but maybe he has that real respect for Brick and he will work with him to save face here.

We’ll see!

Still time to make some trades . Lots of old injury prone players available. Can replace Brown with Becktari (spelling). Get hopes up and crush souls.... SOJ

The only option is to trade away Garrett, Sauce and Breece. Recoup assets at the deadline. Let Rodgers retire. Otherwise fans will be watching the same thing next year. I know I won’t be watching this again. The Jets have done some stupid things, but this will go down as the most colossal disaster in the history of the NFL. Jets will take 5-10 years to recover. No coach or GM will take this job. Jets will have 7 wins exactly what I said after 49ers game so their picks won’t be high. Trade everyone with multiple year contracts. Willams brothers. Stone Hands. Let the rest of the one year deals walk at end of season. Don’t pay anything to AVT. Literally start completely over with Tyrod Taylor since he is on 2 year deal I think. A true rebuild.

The young core are all disgruntled and most eligible for contract restructure after this season.
There's going to be a lot of dead cap hits, so it's unlikely that they get the new deals they are seeking.
We will restock the roster with more of the same over paid, over rated , over the hill free agents and continue to lose young talent.
That's the immediate future.

I’m truly not liking the fact of having to trade all our young true talent to even start to recover from this shit but if that’s what it takes. ONLY THE FREAKING JETS!
