Our New York Jets fandom dilemma now!

I have a question for everyone, if you could quit you fandom as a Jets fan would you? If you did, would you root for any other NFL team? Me personally, I could never root for another team and I don’t think I could ever leave the Jets either.
I’m over 50 and been a Jets fan since 1982. I’ve got 40-plus years invested in the game and I just can’t stop now. If I could ever manage to conjure up the courage to do so, I would just watch the NFL as a fan period but not for a specific team.
Trust me, I’ve thought about dropping this team off and on for the past two decades now but I just can’t do it. Damnit!

Yes I could. If the NFL had a good product that is easy to watch then I could still watch the NFL. The Jets don’t deserve our loyalty. You need multiple streaming platforms to watch this sport. I actually prefer hockey over football now. When the Jets don’t play, I don’t miss watching them so hell yeah I could stop watching the Jets. This season is over. I live in Utah. I know I will never allow the Jets to ruin another day of my life. I’m way closer to rooting against them than I am to rooting for them.

I have already said that being a Jet fan is a disease. There is no cure. It should carry a disability rating for SSD. The most unfortunate thing is that it is incurable.
I've said I put the TV on and do something else cause I don't care what the Jets do anymore. Any time they lose I'm not surprised. Any time they win it means they are setting us up to let us down. I truly hate them.
Being a fan? A fan hopes their team will win . A jet fan knows they won't.
So I watch but only partially and mostly I don't care
Next seasons reboot? I'm not up for it at all. They can't get anyone in here that will excite me so I may be done.

I've stuck around about as long as you with only a handful of winning seasons. The Jets have never given any us a single reason to be a fan of this shitty organization. Being a Jets fan is the definition of insanity and being the same age as you I plan on living the rest of my life without stress. I moved to Utah to be in the desert and the mountains and live a simple life with no traffic and the Jets are like a 100 car pileup. The Jets simply don't fit into that lifestyle for me. Plus the NFL product is garbage and getting worse. Luckily for me I really like hockey and the Stars are really good. Plus I had a unique opportunity to start fresh with a new Utah hockey team like I did with the Stars when they relocated to Dallas from Minnesota. If the Jets find a way to turn it all around I will skeptically follow, but I will never care like I used to and will never expect them to turn it around.

I do my best to ignore that. I did like her music when she was a little country girl. Before she let fame make her nuts
You feel how you feel and no one can debate that. For me, are gonna ride with them until the end. Hopefully I can see them win the Super Bowl before my dying day and if it don’t happen, it don’t happen. I stayed with them for this long, no point in leaving them now. Might as well ride it out until the end.
I’m NY all the way, born and raised. New York Jets, Knicks and Liberty. I’m not a baseball, hockey or soccer fan, so any New York or New Jersey team (hockey) that wins I’m good with it either way!

After their 7th of 8th loss, right around when the playoffs are pretty much a guaranteed no, they will go on a winning streak to wreck their draft pick. The schedule gets easy, things will start to click just a bit, and they will win games that mean nothing.
