Another proposed rules change is that playoff seeding should be based on wins rather than winning your Division, so you can win your Division and effectively go in as a Wild Card. I think this is a bad idea for the following reasons:
1. It makes the Divisions kind of pointless.
2. If you are in a Division with four competitive franchises (which the Jets could be if we ever become competitive) you could win out 10-7 and find yourself going to a playoff against a team in a Division with two powder puffs who finished 11-6.
Now we all remember teams from a Division with four powder puffs who won their Division with a losing record, so perhaps you should have to have a winning record to get top playoff seeding.
