Polite improving

Reading the daily updates on training camp, I’ve noticed the last couple of practices that Jachai Polite is starting to come on a little bit. Granted it’s been with backups (3rd and now 2nd team), but he’s showing some pass rush skills. He had a couple of “sacks” the other day and then came out and had his best practice today, per Cimini.

They may be putting him with the 3 ‘s because he is mentally behind and using it as a tactic to challenge him . I bet that he will improve as he learns the system.

Would be nice to see him get to where he needs to be so he’s the starter opposite of Jenkins. That there would make a very good edge rushing combo right there.

With the expected inside push from the Williams boys, an edge bender will be deadly.

I hope he develops, but I always have concerns about guys who have the sort of issues he has.

He's in a great position to succeed. The front seven has the horses, the scheme from Williams is aggressive. If he doesn't succeed, it's all on him.

Some guys are just slow starters. They tend to over think things or struggle with the play book and have confidence problems. Hopefully he will find high gear before the cuts happen and contribute in a big way this season.

I think we need to be patient and not pass judgment based off tweets. It’s fair game after preseason games though!
