Truly hope this team can stay healthy this year. It'd be nice to have competent game plans fulfilled by talented players for the majority of the year. DM is building team from the lines out. Nice to see.
After last year's nightmare against the rub + bringing in the Behemoth who is T'Vondre Sweat, I'd love to be on the cutting edge by going back in time having a base 5-2 DE's Willy Mac & Bailey, DT's = Phillips & Briggs. With Fitzpatrick and Payne at safety to assist Demario ( glad he's home) & Jamien at LB from the safety spots, I bet we can get after QBs up the middle w/o blitzing and stuff the best running teams teams using that as our standard front. It could fall on it's face too if Willy & Bailey can't get pressures because we're leaving our CB's on islands. But we were all tied with team lead in picks last year at 0 while getting gashed vs the run too, so why not give something new a try?
I wish we got a little bigger at Center. Myers is a bit too small to work independently of help from the guards, but we hve the ability to be an imposing front nonetheless; if so, we might actually be in games that aren't FG battles of attrition. Breece is going to enjoy a great year with his bodyguards together for another year. I'm ok with #7 completing manageable down and distances if not asked to put the offense on his back.
at WR and TE, we might actually have a pulse?!?! IDK how he did it, but #5 i a 1000 yard receiver w/ atrocious bb play, Arian needs to catch passes he gets hands on to be our Dedric Ward of this unit, Omar & AD have the tools to be Keyshawn and Braylon, respectively. Geno looks to have nifty security blankets in Mason & Sadiq. Let's hope he shines as Linus
