I did not read through the first 5 chapters, but I feel Woody really screwed us this year. He gave Glenn an ultimatum, Win now or you're done. Maybe a vote of confidence. Give you 5 years to turn it around. Glenn could have built this team for the future. I felt Arvell Reese was our future. Not Bailey. We should win 3 - 5 games this year. Glenn will be fired. With a new coach. Hopefully not Gase. We should draft a quality QB, and additional top players, along with some good FA. Maybe in a year or two we won't be the, "Same Ole Jets".
I'll take a back seat to your analysis on the Reese/Bailey debate, but a speed rusher who can go into beast mode at the close is something we haven't had ever. I believe Geno will be protected and he has many fun toys to play with. We're going to stop the run... Willy Mac and Barnum Bailey are going to be strip sackers as T'Vondre, Phillips and Briggs collapse pockets and stop the run. And you and I aren't going to share the team lead in picks this year.I know I got sucked in again, but I have 1998 vibes, because we have a vet QB who can make all the throws and a back who will allow him the good fortune of not having to make them. Nothing complicated. It's not necessary to possess Montana's ability to hit WR's never breaking stride. I don't think Brady ever hit a WR in stride. They meandered 3.34 yards from scrimmage and played catch.

That’s the wrong way to look at things IMO, what we all should be thinking and hoping for is that the Jets have found a diamond in the ruff in Klubnik! Now of course it most likely won’t go down that way but imagine if it did. The Jets could use those 3 first rounds drafts picks in the BPA or a specific need that isn’t a QB.
Things like that typically happen to teams like the 49ers, Patriots, Cowboys, Packers and Seahawks. There’s a few more we can through into that mix like the Giants and Saints but the Jets, NAH!!!! Yes the chances of this panning out for us is like finding a needle in a haystack but if it does, WOW!!! We’re talking 15-20 years of not having to draft another QB, imagine that!
Klubnik wasn’t just some run of the mill garbage college QB who wasn’t even a top prospect from HS. He was the exact opposite! He was a top HS prospect and started 3-4 years for Clemson. He put up decent to great numbers and was in the Heisman mix talks at least one of his college years. He was also projected to be the #1 draft pick going his senior year, (if I’m correct).

I'm not trying to rally troops. Been a fan over 40 years. I admit to getting sucked in every year. But I love history. repeating history is a fascination of mine. Seeing a ton of similarities between 26 & 98. Get off to a quick start in the trenches and I bet they go on a run. Hoping you're enjoying Suns at 1 my bro!
