Anyone with CB next to his name has to be considered, unless the guys first and middle names are "charlie brown"

I wonder about Schaub depending on what else happens at QB. He has been bad. But he once was good. Could be worth a flyer and I dont think anyone will promise him a starting gig.

Willis of course interesting

Garcon is not a field stretcher, but he is a solid WR who will block and go over the middle for the ball...

I think "cheaper" would be a relative term. Willis has 2 years and basically $16 million. Worldis is gonna easily command $20 million in guaranteed money and a long term deal.

More importantly with Worldis can he play a DE/Rush LB role? We aren't going to have a Steelers-type 3-4 defense where the DEs are space eaters and the OLBs rush from a 2 point stance. We are going to need more of a DE in my opinion.

The way Rex has constructed the defensive personal on this team has really left us with some guys who don't all necessarily fit - which i why i believe they should tender Snacks and hope that another team grabs him netting us a draft pick. Coples needs to play on the line, and if we truly want to get the most out of the guys we have, we need to play Richardson as a penetrating DT, and interchange Wilk and Coples between DE and DT (which they can both do). Those 3 along with an athletic, rush OLB would make our DLine extremely formidable and would let us actually get something out of coples.

In my opinion, a guy like brandon graham or jabaal sheard would be better and cheaper fits then worldis. If we got a second round pick from a team that signs snacks, and can play those 4 guys along with keeping Kendrick Ellis as our "NT" - that would be a great group and let us fill another need with the 2nd round pick.

which is exactly why i never even consider willis have to give up to much or maybe even woirlds because he might not fir the style of play so just go the easy route

Sam Acho OLB 26 ARI TBD $1,549,607 UFA

Brick is 31 years old and while we can all use PFF numbers that "indicate" his play has "fallen off" the truth is he has been just as good as always - the difference is he doesnt have alan faneca next to him he has putrid brian winters and oday.

Brick has been VERY durable for us and at 31 still has 2-3 years of top level play left, plus LT is not nearly as debilitating of a position as guard is. Im not saying we shouldnt be looking at developing future Offensive Lineman, nor am I against him restructuring his deal, but he is not currently overpriced, and is still a top 10 LT in the game. Give him a QB that understands how to set a protection or a LG who isnt a complete abomination and he would "grade out" much better.

I agree. While not in his prime years anymore, Brick was solid. Pun completely intended. He has a few more good years left.

Regarding the list to start the thread, if I'm Maccagnan, I'd take a long look at Bowe and Schaub. Assuming they aren't re-signed. Both would be fits for our needs. Bowe as a #1 WR, and Schaub as solid insurance behind Geno and possibly a drafted QB.

I agree we do need a guard. Hopefully one of the young guys can develop some this year. Jets haven't ignored it, so far Winters, Dozier, or Abushi (sp) just haven't clicked

with all due respect, bowe is NOT a #1 WR. at least not any longer.

personally i see him as a declining player who is looking for a payday based on production 4 and 5 years ago

Agreed. He also lets himself get fat, which I hate. Marshall getting cut in Chicago is a situation I'd watch closely though.

Vincent Jackson - WR - Buccaneers
Based on conversations with multiple NFL executives, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole expects the Buccaneers to ask Vincent Jackson to take a pay cut.
Cole foresees a potential "glut" of wideouts either restructuring or hitting the free agent market, including V-Jax, Percy Harvin, Mike Wallace, and Brandon Marshall. Jackson turned 32 years old last month and is owed a $9.8 million base salary. If he doesn't accept a pay cut, he could be released.

Personally I'm fine with Aboushi @ LG, and neither Dozier, Johnson or Winters has stepped on the playing field @ RG so we really don't know what we have.

Go Jets...Cyborg

Behind Geno?

Hey if he beats out Geno, great. May the best man win. I'm just saying Geno's the guy they want a definitive answer about at this stage. This is probably his last hurrah with the team. If he comes out throwing pick sixes to start the season, we're gonna need an answer. And that's either a guy like Schaub or Fitzpatrick, or they go with Mariota if he's taken at #6 .

I agree I give aboushi first chance he played well enough to deserve it. I also really liked what I saw from dalton freeman when mangold was injured.

Same agents as Revis, so I don't see him agreeing to take a paycut. I also don't see the Jets getting involved with a 32 year old wr with agents who love to make things acrimonious.

I wasn't really impressed with Aboushi. The best thing I could say about him, was he was better then Winters.

Freeman on the other hand didn't miss a beat when Nick was hurt. Wonder if he can play guard?

I think the left side of the line played alot better than the right side.
