After striking out in free agency and failing to draft one, the Jets are going with Jonotthan Harrison. So they say. Gase said he would be comfortable with Harrison (28 career starts at center) because his athleticism makes him a fit in the Jets' zone-blocking scheme. While that might be true, it won't stop them from looking at other options.

I truly hope they do! Harrison doesn’t seem like he will hold up for long and help this team to true success. He’ll be an excellent back up though.

I'm not totally sold on him, but I will defer to the coaching staff if they have confidence in him.

Now, if he is starting because Macc won't commit the resources into the OL, that's a different story.

Saw an interview with Osemele and he is pretty high on Harrison and I think he helps him immensely. I trust him more than I trust Mac's opinion. Players know if other players can play.

Sure looks like it. The only options I see on the FA market are John Sullivan and Stefen Wisniewski. Wisniewski lost his starting job last season and Sullivan is an average player at this stage of his career.

Harrison did a decent job replacing the injured Long last year. He’s not Mawae or Mangold by any stretch, but does he have to be?

We will learn this year about our Oline in this blocking scheme. Harrison was rated 32nd last year in PFF. I do hope in next years draft we will spend some early picks and do a Brick/Mangold type draft. Amazing how Mac has just overlooked OL in his 5 drafts. Hope we keep Darnold standing this year.
