If Cooper is off the board, here are my top 3 OLB choices:
1) Fowler
2) Gregory
3) Beasley

Yeah, I like all three of those guys with Fowler as my favorite.
I think the Jets will pass on Cooper if he's there. The reason I think this is the attention towards top-flite slot WR's in this draft. The Jets have been linked to both Jamison Crowder (Duke) and Phillip Dorsett (twice). With Decker and Marshall locked in as WO's, this would be the best complement to the passing offense at this time. Forget Kerley as he's an older regime guy and doesn't have anywhere near the explosiveness of the aforementioned. I'd think Lockett is going to be watched closely as well. Both he and Dorsett are getting 2nd round consideration with Dorsett getting 1st round grades on various sites. Neither will last to the 3rd.

With about 5-6 weeks to go, I am seeing the Jets taking a 3-4 OLB with the 1st pick and a slot WR with the 2nd rounder. And RB in the 3rd. The Jets tried to sign Roy Helu and must see Ivory as a clumsy fit to this offense. Watch for them to go after one of David Johnson, TJ Yeldon or Jeremy Langford (might be the top guy here). Langford and Dorsett would give the offense a dose of speed it really needs for Chan to run his offense.

Would you take White over any of them if all 4 were on the board when our pick comes up?

Kevin, That would be a tough choice of Kevin White WR or Fowler OLB ? (If Cooper is gone) I'd probably take Fowler. White was the stud receiver @ the Combines, but he had one good year @ WVU, that scares me. More than likely Fowler will be gone as well as Gregory. I'm hoping the Raiders go with White, but after their last WR freak Hayward-Bey, they might go with the sure pick in Cooper ? I hope I answered your question ?

I can't rememebr the last time there was so much variety of players we could pick, uncertainty and certainty with the draft and where we are positioned. Just crazy

The Jets draft is now coming in to focus. Maccagnan and Co need to come away with three things;

1) A replacement for D'Brick and his enormous contract. Either he re-does his contract or he's off the team next year.

2) A wide receiver. Another back-up plan in the event Brandon implodes in NYC.

3) A pass rushing specialist. I wouldn't expect both Pace and Babin to be on the opening day roster.

I think they're looking at a veteran #3 WR who could start in case Marshall or Decker can't go. And there's still time to see if someone shakes out. They were pursuing Stevie Johnson for this role which would've been perfect IMO but he thinks he has a better chance for playing time in SD. Shorts signed last night. Denarious Moore may be an option if others aren't available.

Regarding DBrick, he still has 8.6M guaranteed next year and all of it this year. I think it's too soon to replace him now but yeah, they are probably looking to this next season as a point of high interest and should look to restructure except the new regime doesn't know exactly what they have. I've always maintained that selecting Cedroc Obduehi in the 3rd could be an option if he's there to shelve and groom towards LT next season since he came away with a late ACL tear. He would've been a sure 1st rounder this year.

As for pass rusher, the more I see of Gregory, the more I want him. What an explosive pass rusher with all the moves already developed. Plugging him into our front line would be awesome.
