Some takes
1) They, of course were very evasive about draft..saying over and over BPA will be philosophy...Mac said if 2 players or a group of plaers from 2 different positions are equal, need could sway the decision.
2) Mac said Mo contract is a priority but wont be really delved into till after the pressing draft evaluations, and used Tannenbaum's favorite word ..its a "process"
3) Bowles was asked about the excitement of potentially adding another great player to defense and he stated point blank..I am the head coach and responsible for everything not just defense, so it will be BPA regardless of position.
4) Mac said they are in a "great" spot in draft..to potentially move up or down..said alot of times a player not expecting falls to 6 and teams want to move up
5) Bowles and Mac sounded generally excited about seeing McDougle and Milner healthy to see what they have
6) Bowles was asked about RB in draft, said the draft is VERY deep in RB and have some good 3 down backs, some 3rd down and some carry the load guys...
7) I asked Mac, since he has a scouting background, what he thought of some of the very young players that did not play much because of injury or behind someone..and mentioned specifically the WR; he said its tough because what he saw in college and what he will see in person could be two different things..but specifically mentioned KERLEY as someone he is excited and intrigued to give him "some more looks in game" (I was looking more to see what he thought of Evans, Oswusu, Enemwa or the young offensive linemen)
