Last season Morninweg proclaimed that Geno would get 70 to 75% of the first team snaps. At that point, everyone knew there was no way that Mike Vick could ever win the QB competition.

Bowles will be holding enough of a competition that Geno will get far less than 75%. More like 60% or less. Because that's the only way he could be holding a QB competition.

And if Fitz is healthy, I am certain he will quickly start to get the majority of 1st team snaps. He's a better QB than Geno and the numbers show that.

So like I already posted, Fitz will ikely win the starting gig if he is healthy enough to compete at his fullest in TC.

Where do those numbers come from? When did Bowles state their was a competition ?

You're kidding yourself if you think Bowles endorsed a real QB competition. Just because he used the word "competition", doesn't mean he endorsed a QB competition in any real sense. A real QB competition means two QB's split the first team reps equally, and the snaps in the preseason with the first team (from week to week), may the best man win. If one guy is getting 90+% of the first team reps, which Bowles himself suggested will be the case with Geno, then you don't have a QB competition, what you have is one guy being anointed the starter, but he's being told that he has to perform to keep his hold on that position, which is common sense, nobody ever disputed that, certainly I never did.

Bottom line: Geno is working with the 1's and Fitz is working with the 2's, because Geno is the starter and Fitz is the backup. If Geno stinks and Fitz performs well with the 2's, then they will switch positions, but thats not a QB competition, its the # 1 having to perform to remain the # 1

This could be like parcells when he started with Foley and switch to Vinny with the quickness. We will see.

Excellent 55..Good luck to Geno, but I just have this feeling of right place and right time with Fitz.
