nj.com -- The NFL Management Council has informed teams of players' 2015 performance-based bonuses.
NJ Advance Media obtained the figures for the Jets. Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa led the way with a bonus of $296,712.15. According to ESPN, that was the ninth-highest total in the league.
The NFL's performance-based pay is based on a formula that factors in playing time relative to salary. As a result, late-round draft picks, undrafted free agents, rookies, and veterans making close to the minimum typically receive more of a bonus if they played a lot.
The 2015 performance bonuses were already incorporated into every team's share of the $143 million salary cap, so there's no additional cap hit to take.
Enunwa, a 2014 sixth-round pick, played 43.53 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps last season even though he missed four games because of a league-mandated suspension. Enunwa's $296,712.15 in performance pay is in addition to the $435,000 in base salary he earned last season in the second year of his rookie deal.
There have been seven so far.
