He had two scores at least. one was that early pass that Namath said he was throwing to the normal Maynard speed.....but he was still out there by himself. the second that was a diving catch in the endzone.....would love to see that on a replay in slow motion. That extra gear he had I have never seen in another player like he had. not in Homer Jones or Bob Hayes Etc.
How about Walker & Maynard on the same team.....sorry Bigmoe but Johnny Lam Jones does not make the cut lol
It goes like this...................the Jets were staying at a motel when Maynard walked up to those at poolside and bet at
$five dollars per person he'd jump into the pool fully clothed with his 10 gallon hat included.
They took him up on the bet and even let him remove his snakeskin boots before jumping.
