We’re spreading the ball around. We were the only team with 4 receivers with over 200 yards before that game. Moore was one of them. Yesterday there were only 18 passes. No big deal

Those stats really go to Flacco and all of those 300+ passing yard games he put up. Our running game has come alive since Zach’s return, but our passing game has gone into the toilet.

If I’m not mistaken, Hall rushed for more yards yesterday then Zach threw for. A win is a win, but this is a dynamic we need to keep an eye on (Garrett Wilson was sidelined a ton yesterday while we were putting out 2 RB sets with Hall lined up in the slot)

That’s BS! Zach avoids the pressure of the pass rush that Flacco couldn’t. Which means he avoids so many sacks and negative plays that could have put us in deficits to have to throw the ball so much more to help us even get back into the game.

Flacco was throwing to ball 40-45 plus times a game. That’s in only three games he’s played in. Zach has average about 20-25 attempts at most over these pass three games. The team is playing so much better since Zach’s return and that has a lot to do with him.

Flacco put the team in much more detriment then plus situations. That’s why he had to throw so much and the WRs were being feed. With Zach they are winning and he is doing his part in helping with that. The Steelers game he carried the team that second half.

The other two games he just played his part. The proof is in the stats and the wins. That’s all that should matter! The WRs will be just fine and have to deal with it. They will get their opportunities soon enough! So will Zach, you don’t he’s not frustrated not throwing more?

What’s BS? Zach has 572 passing yards for the season. So you want to credit him with almost 1000 yards combines by 5 receivers?

Your emotions for Zach is clouding your mathematical abilities. Your rant is BS, the stats are facts!

Win is a win, but Zach isn’t impressing anyone with the passing game right now.

The results and wins are also FACTS! The team is playing different and way better and winning! Defense has come alive, oline is playing better, special teams and running game is beasting it. You think that just happened by chance? Come on man, no disrespect but use your head here.

The Jets were struggling like crazy with Flacco. That’s why they had to throw so much. Flacco continuously put them in negative spots. 3 and outs continuously. Zach keep plays alive and that helps this team in more ways then you know! Your letting your negative view of Zach cloud your judgement! Facts is facts!!!

Question, your honestly going to tell me that you believe if Flacco was still playing that the Jets would have won these past three games? Especially with this pieced together oline that keeps breaking down on them! Think about that question for a second, REALLY???

I mean really let that sink in before you answer it! If your going to answer the question honestly and wisely then you know the Jets would have maybe won one of these games. That’s about it! Meaning the Jets would be 2-4 right now instead of 4-2. Come on man!!!

No argument there, but obviously our receivers are not 100% content with that

The Jets game plan was run-centered yesterday because it was working. Don’t ever deviate from what’s working. It would’ve been dumb to start chucking the ball around in a close game when Breece Hall was going beast mode on their defense. That’s why Zach’s numbers were down.

Elijah Moore is frustrated with not contributing to the win. I get it. He’s a good player and we should find ways to get him the ball. But yesterday was not that day. It was run run run right to a 17 point victory. It was the right game plan.

So let’s get something very clear here. You are pulling in various aspects of the game that have ZERO to do with the content in the thread in your attempt to get everyone to support “turning a blind eye to Zach’s putrid passing numbers” because we won “in spite of them”.

No one is saying “go be a Debby downer” because Zach can’t hit his receivers. It’s bringing to light a discussion that the kids passing game is anemic! The receivers are nowhere to be found (even getting pulled from the field for multiple RB sets).

We’re finding ways to win “in-spite” of no passing game.

ST and Defensd have been phenomenal!!!! Even our once shakey kicking game, is now reliable (almost automatic).

But make NO MISTAKE, our QB on passing downs is lost, overwhelmed, and often times looks confused! And even quick plays, he always seems to hesitate and hold the ball too long.

Be happy for the wins! But to ignore the obvious issues because we won, is fooling no one but ourselves.

I hope he develops into our franchise QB. But he needs help (start with the OC and trying to find ways to simply things for him! These intricate plays may be too advanced right now). I’m waiting for the lights to come on and things to slow down for him, but I haven’t seen that yet.

Ok, no need to keep going back and forth on this! We’ll never agree on this topic and it’s cool, so let’s just both let it go! We all are diehard Jets fans here and want them to win. We all can disagree and that’s cool. That’s why God gave us all opinions. As long as the Jets keep winning, we all should be happy. Hopefully whatever other issues they have will work itself out as the season goes along!

Zach needs to develop some chemistry with Moore and Wilson.. Even last year, Moore did most of his damage with Flacco…. Not Zach. Zach likes Davis and the backs. Yesterday, the ground game worked so not passing the ball was ok. This week, that will not be the case …..

Here's Zach Wilson's value that really isn't being acknowledged. I don't have the statistics on this, so excuse on that but the eye test should tell us all. We all see it, or we should see this anyway! Zach has helped in ways that can't be measured. Our oline has drastically improved in the run game. I personally feel Zach style of play has something to do with that because he is a bit of a run threat and his arm strength in throwing the ball deep scares defenses. So that opens it up for our running game, but I will admit I could be totally wrong about that. This could all be because the oline is slowly starting to get healthy and they are just gelling finally.

What isn't debatable, at least in my opinion is the fact that the oline is still struggling in pass protection and Zach has been under ALOT of pressure these pass three games. However, he hasn't gotten sacked alot because of his scrambling ability. He keeps plays alive enough to at least avoid sacks and throw the ball away. If not run for a few or find an open player. Something Flacco couldn't have done! Zach avoided I'd say 3-5 sacks each game and that is key! That also helps keeps drives alive in which, they can run instead of having to pass. Or he can throw short passes to his RBs, TEs or even the WRs instead of the 10-15 yards passes that Flacco always had to.

Sacks are drive killers and Zach has been keeping them alive enough if not to score points, to keep or change the field position and that means more than we all know! The WRs or some are upset now but sooner or later, Zach will have to throw the ball to keep us in the game or win and then we'll see what he and the WRs do. They already displayed that in the Steelers game, and they came from behind and won. Zach was money in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. E. Moore got quite a few passes/attempts in that game. He wasn't complaining about that, was he??? Anyway, let's all just celebrate these Ws and hope they continue. Players and fans alike!

572 yards

Flacco 901 yards.

Facts!
Flacco threw a zillion times in his games. Zach has thrown half as many times or less per game. We lost the Flacco games and won the Zach games. I wonder what’s up with that. Did the powers that be not want Flacco to succeed so that Zach looks better, or has the team just started to gel? Totally different game plan for each Qb and Zach is undefeated. Could Flacco not have done the same thing as Zach in these games?

This is a great point, the game plans seem to be completely different with the two QBs. Flacco has stone feet, so you would think they would want to run to give him play action to buy him some time.
Zach is mobile, but are they limiting the throws to protect him? We’re they setting up Flacco? Do they not trust Zach to let it rip?
At the end of the day, all we can say is Lafleur is super inconsistent

Yes. The game plan for both makes no sense. Makes me wonder what’s up now
