Perhaps the worst game in Jets history. Vinny goes down, ended the season right there. That was the best Jets team we had in my lifetime, and was the odds on favorite to go to the Super Bowl. I think they would have won it that year. Once Ray Lucas got rolling, they were the best team in the league down the stretch. If we had Vinny for a full season, wow. That was personally my toughest day as a Jet fan.

me too. I still get teary eyed remembering it. if Parcells had gone to Lucas first and skipped Mirer, I think we still go to the superbowl, but who could have known that
