Obviously like about 10 other Jet defensive players, he couldnt make the transition from a spot in which he excelled to a cast in concrete position baaed on Poppy Buddy's 1980s defensive scheme

If the Jets are going to grossly over pay some one I would much prefer Mo over Mario.

Not to imply this report would have any impact on Mario's effort this week, but if it did I certainly can't see it giving him ANY reason to give more than a pedestrian effort . . .

Rex never goes against the grain like this unless it's for a good reason. Without following Buffalo there's no way to know exactly what that reason is. Rex did this with Calvin Pryor out of necessity. So I believe this must about the same predicament. Rex needs time to install his scheme and get the right personnel to run it.

if true, there are 2 destinations Williams will be headed:

back to Houston to play opposite JJ Watt with Jared Crick hitting free agency...

or

another Texas team that needs to bolster that defensive line with Greg Hardy...

as for the Calvin Pryor situation the Jets were backed into a corner with injuries only reason he played him in that coverage safety position...

No way he could demand 12mil per season. Especially having a horrible season. I think 8 mil would be more than enough for him to choose a team that will be on a winning route in 2016.

I'd gladly part ways with Cro to have this guys services. As far as Wilkerson is concerned, i honestly dont see how we bring him back, of course franchising him, but that will be a hefty number to carry.
