I know these players are men and should be responsible for their actions but if your the Jets and you make an investment in your players can you also give them a free anonymous unlimited UBER account and strongly suggest they use it whenever in doubt. Especially players from Miami...Just dumb....

Unreal. Incredibly reckless and irresponsible. I hope this kid gets his life right in a hurry.

The league makes such a service available for all players, if I am not mistaken.

The sad thing is, they do. The Jets program is called player protect and the NFL offers a service called PTL (players transportation link) to all active and former players.
Both are chauffeured sedans and players can request an Escalade ,Hummer, Stretch Limo or party bus. Both programs are confidential.
The 800 # is on every players NFLPA card.

Herndon had no previous issues in college leading up to this DUI. So when the local sports media says “what’s going on here?”, the implication seems to be that the team should’ve known this was going to happen. That’s unfair to the coaches/management. Bowles stated that the team can’t watch these guys 24 hours a day. The players are treated like grown men, with expectations that they’ll act responsibly. Dylan Donahue and Chris Herndon will face consequences from the league for their terrible decisions. If these players screw up again, their careers are probably over, at least with the Jets.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.
