Herndon had no previous issues in college leading up to this DUI. So when the local sports media says “what’s going on here?”, the implication seems to be that the team should’ve known this was going to happen. That’s unfair to the coaches/management. Bowles stated that the team can’t watch these guys 24 hours a day. The players are treated like grown men, with expectations that they’ll act responsibly. Dylan Donahue and Chris Herndon will face consequences from the league for their terrible decisions. If these players screw up again, their careers are probably over, at least with the Jets.
Seems pretty straightforward to me.
