Tomlinson says he believes Rivers wants out, definitely doesn't want to go to LA, and said he doesn't believe Rivers will be the Chargers starting QB next year.

While speaking at a San Diego school yesterday Rivers informed the children he will be staying in San Diego and not to believe the media. I tend to believe a man with 7 children is telling the truth. If there was a chance he'd be traded, I believe he would have deflected the question.

The Chargers recently initiated and continue contract talks with Philip Rivers.
It's clear the Chargers want to retain Rivers, entering the final year of his contract, as their franchise quarterback. The question is if he's willing to re-sign with them as the move to Los Angeles looms. That's likely what the two sides are exploring now and the fact that talks "continue" suggests Rivers is willing to stay put. We'll know a lot more once Thursday comes as Marcus Mariota rumors are still swirling.
