Of this list is there anyone we should tag with at least a 2nd round tender outside EDGE rusher Bryce Huff?

RB James Robinson

FB Nick Bawden
OT Greg Senat
DE Bryce Huff

I believe you play the game and tag James Robinson with a 2nd round just in case someone wants to trade for him. A team with a back end pick might be interested in spending that pick for a seasoned running back. Otherwise it opens the door for the Jets to take the best offer.

I actually believe the Jets could be forced to put a 1st round tender on Bryce Huff. He is worth that tag, end of the day worse case someone ponies up that first for him, worse case we have him for one more year with the option to keep him long term or trade him.

Understand how this works, the jets can place a 1st or 2nd round tender or place original tender on a player. But ay players were UDFAs bring no draft pick back if signed. The question is what value should the Jet place on both Huff and Robinson? Mind you a team could come in give poison pill type contract that we can not afford to keep but we get the draft pick from the tender placed.

Might need to keep both if they decide to part ways with Davis to clear some cap space to pay for the new QB. They would save between 10 and 10.5 mil if they cut him. And Williams is going to be expensive to keep too.

Smith is Better than Mims.
Tag Huff, wouldn’t want to get lugged into any contract with Robison.
We have Breece, Bam, Carter and Ty. Robison can go kick rocks.

Actually...................do we even need Bawden ? Why not use one of our big TEs as a part time, when required, FB instead. I've seen that done a couple of times by other teams that seldom use a FB so they don't have to carry one on the roster.

Jeremy Ruckert our new TE/FB in 2023. Kenny Yeboah makes the 53 unless we draft someone. Questions about Uzomah back in 2023 even though under contract. Conklin still number 1 TE on the roster with Ruckert going to push him.

I would also think that our new OC might be allowed some input on players retained or signed based on what type of system they use on offense going forward.
