I believe the year of his lis frank injury was his best or second best year. The issue is most people can't distinguish between declined play, and that guy sucks. His play declined in Tampa as expected after a very serious injury. His true talent level was merky in new England because he was moved all over the place, which worked. However, that movement makes an accurate assessment difficult.
He was clearly better last year than the year before, and he now had a full healthy season plus, to go into the off season not having to worry about rehab should lead to another up year in 2015.
You have to remember the revis of 2011 was on another planet, teams put the best receivers they had up against him, and came out with 1 or 0 catches.
His intelligence is insane, his instinct is rare, his speed is scary, his cornering will break ankles. That complete package is revis' greatness. After his injury he lost a step and some ability to change direction as quickly. But a down year for revis is still hof material.
