Revis Won't Commit To Future With Pats

That's the greedy Revis that we all know and love. Hopefully, our next GM can make him our big acquisition for next year. He shouldnt have left!

Darrelle Revis isn't sure what the future holds.

On a conference call with New York Jets reporters Wednesday, the former face of Woody Johnson's franchise was asked if he would return to the hated rival New England Patriots next season and finish out his two-year contract under Bill Belichick.

"I don't know what my future holds," he said, via The Star-Ledger. "Right now, my focus is on this week."

Revis is set to count $25 million against the cap next year, which is fueling speculation that the premiere cornerback will hit the open market. Revis wouldn't comment on a potential return to New York, which would appear unlikely if the team parts ways with head coach Rex Ryan.

"I don't know what my future holds, like I said," Revis said. "We'll see. The future will take care of itself."

With another top five season almost in the books, Revis will likely go where the money is, and few can blame him. As far as talent goes, the cornerback is second to none in terms of his on-field production and his ability to shut down certain wide receivers.

He's also good at playing things close to the vest, which is why he probably won't be revealing his destination any time soon.

The Mevis man will go to where the bucks flow the most.. Too bad Brady wasn't like that he would have been gone after the Bowl wins.

You mention how greedy he is yet you still want him back? I loved Revis as much as the next guy but we have moved on and need to continue to do so. We need to rebuild this team and that wont happen by spending 20 mil on CB. I do hope he leaves the Pats though.

Revis' lovers swear he's good for a extra 4 wins a year in that case how did they lose 3 games this year, last year they were 12-4 without him?? LOL

Revis is the best cornerback out there. He instantly makes our secondary respectable again and for that reason I want him back to sign . Him in our backfield will instantly improve the play of Pryor and Milliner.

I want him back because we have the $ to do so. I am okay for signing him for two years. We have a great amount of cap space that we won't be able to use up.

I don't agree for a very simple reason.. If we don't have a playoff type offense it makes no sense to spend the money he wants. A team with a Brady,Bree's,Rogers or even a Romo,Big Ben,Ryan but not the Jets who don't even know who their future QB is.. Revis will be 30 next season and it makes no sense for the Jets if your a team fan and not a player fan as some people are..Or like the Tebow people you can just follow him around and become a fan of whatever team he's on.. Of course realistically Revis may go to a team that hires Rex next year if they have the cap space..LOL

as good as he is I still wouldn't want him back their are alot of good teams that have cb's not named revis it can be done. I would rather spend the money upgrading our QB personally.

if revis was still in his mid 20s i could be persuaded to throwing QB money at him.. & chances are even QB money wouldn't keep him happy for more than a year..

the man's a hired gun & proud of it.. we as fans don't have to like it.. i don't remember him asking us if we did/do, BTW..

If the Jets were a playoff team this year, or had scored in the draft with a lot of good young players, I'd be all for bringing Revis back.

Right now it would be wasted money
