I am starting to think maybe not so much I am thinking it was due to ozzie's amazing drafts why rex had a good defense in baltimore.

Ozzie is a good judge of talent or has an outstanding scouting system. Rex is a good DC not HC. IMHO he (contrary to others on here) was very poor in developing talent from our draft picks other then the #1 's.

Agree. He was miserable in developing talent for the Jets. At Baltimore he had 2 definite (Lewis and Reed) and 2 possible (Suggs and Ngata) Hall of Famers on defense.

Love it. That time zone BS really frustrated me last year. How do you not adjust your watch for pacific coast time? It's just a 3 hour shift and every moderately high-functioning adult knows that. And, on top of that, how many times do you think the coaches reminded the team to adjust for the time change? And, on top of that, how hard is it to just look at a local clock?

The fact that there was no real consequences for that and Rex just shrugged it off told me all I needed to know about what was wrong with the leadership within the Jets organization.

Contrast the way Rex handled this situation to the way Belichick handled Jonas Gray showing up late to his team meeting. And this was on the heels of Gray rushing for 200 yards the game before.

Not saying I love Belichick but there is something to be said with giving guys a "no excuses tolerated" framework with which to operate in. Who cares about good intentions, misunderstanding, etc? The great coaches/teams just key in on the bottom line.

If I remember correctly, BB also sent Revis home last year for being late to practice or meeting. You have to send a consistent message, and you do that by punishing both the Jonas Grays and Darrell Revis'.

Check Belichick's Record his first 6 years, and I'm sure they are comparable to Rex. Give Rex Brady and Im sure he'd look pretty damn good. He was the head Defensive Coordinator coach of the Jets from 2009 through 2014. 12 regular season games vs Belichick and one playoff matchup. I think his Jets won 3 of those 13 and lost the division to them or Miami ALL six times. The dope went from boasting about not kissing rings and visiting the White House on.his first day of work to boasting about being the best 4-12 team in football on his last day

Now, thankfully he has taken his bad act, lame jokes and sycophant crony assistants north to ruin the Bills and the Jets have hired competant adults to handle things on the field.

No, I have to disagree. Don't get me wrong, I loved the what he brought when he first got here, but as time went on, the cracks started to show. At the end of the day, I didn't think Rex was a good HC at all...and I think it is BS to lay it all off on "no talent."

What bothered me most....I N-E-V-E-R once got the feeling that Rex had the answer for ANYTHING. He would dance, dance, dance.....then look like his mother just slapped him, then he'd get all mad and dissapointed.....but he NEVER once had an answer for anything. I had seen enough of him a year ago.

But you are right.....he WAS our coach. He isn't now. Time to move on. I am excited to see what Bowles has to offer, and I ALREADY get a feeling about him actually HAVING some answers.

Rex bringing in Landry for a look see with the Jills. Rex will never learn. He has surrounded himself with the same dumbasses (except for Dunbar ) that he had in NY. The only difference is dumbass Marty was replaced with Dumbass Greg Roman. Jills will be a top 10 defense with a bottom 5 offense. McCoy will be negated by a horrible run blocking line (Oline not great) and Watkins will be negated by no QB (Cassell and EJ suck worse than Geno). I'm predicting Rex is 2 and done in Buffalo....
