and although they are not as good as REVIS. at CB .Milner and McDougle were going to be a big part of the rotation. and got hurt.. and Patterson was going to be also until turned into a loser flake that left like a "woman" no team can sustain an injury to arguably the 2nd and 3rd best CB on their team..and maybe they though Milner was 1...they were limited .and everyone stupidly forgets this at convenient times...

so maybe Revis wasn't gotten and he was cheap on DRC (who ended up average at best anyway)...Idzik did try..and Im not a Idzik supporter,,,,
Milner and McDougal were college kids worth bright futures, not number 1 and 2cbs on an nfl roster

The issue with Rex is, where does the bluster end and the actual analysis begin? Who knows what he actually thinks about any of his players or coaches? At first, it seems like he's confident in his players, and they like that, but over time it becomes clear that HE WILL TALK UP ANY PLAYER, NO MATTER HOW GOOD OR BAD THEY ARE, AS LONG AS THEY ARE ON HIS TEAM. Suddenly, it means jack shit when he says how good you are. Effusive praise delivered indiscriminately has a numbing effect. Rex comes in and says "this guy can be a pro bowler," and it means NOTHING, because he would say that about anyone.

So the question then becomes, what are his real feelings about his players and coaches? If he really believes the things he says, he is delusional, and if he doesn't, then he's full of crap, essentially.
One thing I would inject here, is that what Rex says to his guys in person and in the media, Are two completely different things. All you are aware of is him talking up the cameras, that's not how players are motivated, they talk everyday at work.

It also seems every one of his coaches followed him, as did Harvin, simms, and Mo and Richardson, oops. Maybe not yet.

So where does it seem is wearing thin?

It wears thin with the fans, as they realize that they can't take anything he says seriously, and that the players like him because he doesn't demand anything from them in terms of preparation or professionalism, so they can take liberties knowing there will be no accountability for that in any way, except in the form of losing games.

TRUE..but it wasnt his fault they were taking out of the equation totally w injuries....and Milner did play great last month of his rookie year...he showed potential to be a decent/good player...

You are slightly uninformed. Idzik was terrible and Ryan was being a team player, he publicly stated that idzik had a great draft both years. What Ruan regrets is not stepping up and telling woody they can't win. He kept a positive attitude and was a good soldier.

I would be a "good soldier" also for 3 million a year....

the whole situation was an evil circle..WOODY should not have hired Idzik...Idzik was incompetent and Rex is a blathering wet rag..and mediocre head coach at best ...that wore out his welcome how was Ryan going to "step up and tell Woody" he couldnt win, when the guy kept him on maybe a year longer if not 2 than he should have.....hes not going to bite the hand that feeds him....
