John Curley Johnson.

Originally played for the Texans in the first year of the AFL. Moved on to the NY Titans in '61. Played some RB somewhere along the line there.

My favorite memory of the fella was not of him punting (which he was quite good at) but as a TE.
Pete Lammons (another personal favorite), the starting TE got hurt early in 1968 in Buffalo (3 pick 6's vs Namath, 2pt loss, Bills only win of the season(?). There was no backup so they put 'ole Curley in there at TE. He played the rest of that game and the entire next one the following Saturday night vs SD. Made some big catches for respectable yards too.

S'long Curley.

So that's (at least) Johnson, George Sauer, Winston, Hill, Sam Walton, John Elliot, Johnny Sample, Verlon Biggs, Paul Seiler and Shea Stadium all gone from the Super Bowl "era".
