LMFAO, Yeah Joe was done with Jets & football in general at that time. Joe's knees was completely shot & his drinking for pain management was worse causing his bad playing. Defense's getting to Rams-Joe was laying Joe down easy trying not to injure him. Joe brought big money to players in College & NFL with his rookie signing. Also brought recognition to then to a new football league AFL . Players were grateful to Namath for that.

It would have been fun to see Joe playing in the 81 playoffs if he had a long career.

Plante & Hall did do it & it was amazing.

I remember attending at least one of them.
