PFT -- The Jets shuffled up their roster on Monday by signing a player who tried out for the team during their rookie mini-camp.
Corner Bryson Keeton earned a spot on the 90-man roster with his work over the weekend. He was one of 22 players vying for spots with the Jets.
Keeton spent the last two years at Montana State after beginning his college career at Nevada. He brings size to the secondary at 6’2″ and 190 pounds, although his chances, like those of any player at the bottom of the roster, of sticking through the off-season and training camp are likely on the slimmer end of the spectrum.
To make room for Keeton, the Jets waived tight end Adrien Robinson. Robinson entered the league as a fourth-round pick in 2012 and General Manager Jerry Reese called him the “Jason Pierre-Paul of tight ends” because of his athleticism. It never translated to the field, though, and Robinson has five catches in 19 career appearances.
