It seems that this position is solid but not complete the Jets have one vertical threat, one do it all, one slot and one true go to guy but they are in need of another vertical option that can be a true #1 and this draft has a few can b's...
The other receivers have a long shot to make the final cut...
It all depends on if we keep 5 or 6 but we want to be competitive with this group we need ONE more, and we could snag him in round 3... His brother is already in the league and this kid might be slightly better... Riley Ridley from UGA:
As the brief scouting report above states this kid has GREAT hands and high points the ball while being a solid route runner he could open up the possibility to replace RA if the Jets don't plan to keep him long term... 40 time in the NFL is a moot point, but route running catching ability and quickness along with a receiving back and core group of receivers could give Darnold some more playmakers to grow with....
Don't get it wrong I like RA, loved him at temple when he played defensive back... He has come a long way and is that guy at receiver but until he shows consistently this discussion is he our guy and are we willing to pony up the cash to keep him here...
- Robby Anderson is our vertical threat that can be that considered #1 but he hasn't taken the next step to be that guy...
- Quincy Enunwa is our do it all, he can block he catch n run and he punish defensive players with his brute force...
- Our slot guy should of been Deontay Burnett but they signed Jamison Crowder and he is expected to be our slot guy to not only open up the middle but give chances for us to open up RA deep...
- Now our fourth guy is our go to guy who has a few years experience with our franchise QB and showed flashes of what they can do together now and moving forward...

Ridley is clean out of his breaks, and he puts his foot in ground to create separation on curls/hitches. Is fluid in his movements and has the short-area athletic ability to win out over smaller DBs. Great high-point catcher and also solid route runner. But a 4.58 40 at the combine will likely see fall to Day 2.
