Rumor - Jets who could be traded this offseason

The Jets could look to cash in on Fant when his value is high and roll with a trio of Becton, Morgan Moses (provided he's re-signed), and a rookie tackle in 2022. It's far from a likely scenario, but it is one that's on the table.
It's not a guarantee that Rankins is gone this offseason, but I think it's more likely than not the Jets decide to cut bait. Cutting him is the obvious move, but don't rule out a trade either.
If they were to wait until after June 1st, that dead cap hit shrinks to just $1.5 million while $3 million carries over into 2023.

Again, the Jets love Mosley, but this is a numbers game. If any team is willing to take on his salary and perhaps send a late-round pick over, the Jets probably jump at the opportunity.
He consistently ran the wrong routes, was penalized for simple mental errors, struggled to gain any separation, and couldn't even catch the ball when it was thrown to him. He was quite literally the worst wide receiver in football.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where Mims is on the Jets' Week 1 roster barring a complete turnaround. That's why if a team comes calling this offseason with a late-round pick, I'd expect the Jets to take that offer and run.
The NY Jets are set for what should be an eventful offseason. From free agency to the 2022 NFL Draft, general manager Joe Douglas and company will have their hands full as they look to set this franchise up for success both in 2022 and the future.

Expect Douglas to explore all avenues to improve the roster, and that includes the trade market. But while a lot of the attention has been on players the Jets could acquire in a trade, the team could also look to ship a few of their own players away.

Be it due to salary, performance, or a combination of the two, the following four players on this list could be moved this offseason if the right offer comes along.

I'm into moving Fant. He is getting older and a band-aid. We Draft an OT and Zion Johnson. If Becton doesn't cut it at LT move him to RT.
Trade Mms. He's taking up space where a younger hungry WR can get playing time.
If some team is willing to take Mosley's contract and give us a pick. Adios! He can't cover.
Rankins: Trade him for a late 2023 pick or release him.

agreed... the more i think of it, the more i like the idea of moving Fant. someone is going to want a proven commodity at Tackle, and we can cash in a big haul for a LT.

not me- I won't sacrifice the well being of my QB at this point. Fant stays unless they are confident 2021 was a fluke......and i don't know how they could know it.
