I agree with you that the "O" line is a priority but considering the quality of "O" line players in this years draft which most everyone agrees is much stronger with defensive players I would have to say getting that elite pass rusher the team has needed almost forever, and is available in this draft, rates higher than the quality of offensive players this time around over all. I'm not saying there aren't any offensive players that are good, I am quite high on LT Dillard, but top notch edge rushers are the cream of the crop this season and they don't show up very often so if you need one, and we absolutely are desperate for one, you have to take it when you can get it. Then you go after those "O" line upgrades.
I understand completely. But i think we can get greedy here. A trade down of maybe 6 to 8 spots will still enable us to grab Burns whom i love or Montez Sweat neither of whom from what i am reading is a precipitous drop off from Allen AND get the assets to trade back up to the bottom of the first round and grab a center. To parlay the three into a Burns/Montez and Bradbury as opposed to just drafting Josh Allen or Q Williams would be a home run. To just sit at three and make no effort to trade down in my opinion is a mistake. I hope Mac understands that he will not get a comparable haul if he trades down to the one he gave up last year when he traded up. That is simply because of the difference between Mayfield, Darnold and Allen as compared to Murray, Haskins and Lock. But that does not mean he should just sit at three.
