Rushing Attack or Lack there of

Matt Forte presents has been less than positive, he has received the bulk of the carries and when he doesn't get going Gailey gets "cute" with the passing attack... Not to mention now Eric Decker unlikely to return (yea week to week prognosis)...

Bilal Powell showcased some nice tape against the Seahawks but this team needs a plodder not like Chris Ivory but someone who is physical that can catch the ball as well... Suspension is over after Monday, so the Jets should sign Karlos Williams would give another dimension to this offense...

Troymaine Pope, is this kid going to be this year's inactive active player... Two RBs on the active roster is NOT good... If we don't get someone like Karlos Williams then we need to find someone physical like him... Would not be shocked to see the Jets try to move Pope to the practice squad some time soon...

Another RB the team could try to steal is on the Patriots practice squad in former Tennessee Titan Bishop Sankey who would give us another dynamic to our back field, just hope that the front office makes this change...

At the rate Bowles was using the 30 year old Matt Forte, I figured he would be shot by midseason.

just think we signed him to a 3 year deal (yea I know it is more like a 2 year deal in guarantees)...

just because he is younger and has proven time n time again they should have Powell the starter with Forte subbing in, will prolong both of them and give us more of dynamic backfield but that must be my dumb view on what this team should be doing...

Powell played more snaps than Forte. I don't understand why we don't use Forte in the passing game more. That's his strong suit. Play action pass to rb.

Karlos Williams is out there.... Bring him in and let's see if he's gotten into shape.

I just think Powell deserves that lead back role, think he can handle 60% of the snaps and is a versatile piece either running or receiving... What BP does well is pass blocking in the backfield and leaking out as emergency option for QB(Fitz)... Forte should be that veteran on key downs (passing & 3rd downs)... Then we need a thumper like Karlos Williams who would complete this trio... Pope was signed for his natural vertical speed more as a home run threat, kick returner but don't think this kid will ever be active because right now we need more and to have only 2 RBs on game day is straight ridiculous...

Powell did have a hair over 50% of the snaps. But that doesn't matter if he isn't getting the ball on those plays. It was nice to see him pick up those couple of catches,but we never took advantage of him. Forte is a solid back, but didn't seem able to avoid single taklers or have enough speed to hit holes.

Gailey running Forte to Seattles strengths was stupid. Also telegraphing Seattle D that JETS are running pass or run to Seattle middle is awful. Petterson can run up the middle on Seattles D.

I don't think Forte would be as successful on 3rd down as Powell. Powell is shifty and cab sneak into the middle for a quick 6 yard strike.
