Ryan Jensen to the Jets is heating up

There is a real sense that the Jets are ready to pony up $11.6 to 12.4 Million annually to sign the veteran to play center for the Jets. The rumor is there are teams that have approached the Jets with trade offers for Connor McGovern? What type of deal, I am unconfirmed at this present time but the feeling is that the team wants more nasty at the center position and this could be a forefront of drafting a interior line to develop behind Jensen moving forward. Cole Strange is an option.

Joe Douglas was there and scouting Jensen personally for the Ravens back in the day so there is that connection... I go can see both the good and the bad on this deal... Basically McGovern's cap is $10.3 M (cap savings of $9M) so this would be swapping out CM for RJ and more experience at the center position but like you said @Tinstar it comes with headaches but remember last year how many times did the OL fight for their QB?

hearing teams could give a mid late 4th, and if there are multiple teams could be competitive with pick this year and swap next...

I guess it just depends on the contract he’s looking for and if the coaching staff can get him to play Play hard without risking those personal foul penalties that only get called when you’re a Jet

the Jets are building a culture and guarantee eventually that culture will be garnered by the league and the refs...

New York attitude, give no remorse play hard and no quit...

If a ref keeps calling petty penalties guarantee they will send a message often in so many ways...

they want both LDT & Moses to return and believe you me both are interested for another year and both would be thrilled to have a Jensen anchoring at center... With JD still in Indy with most of the scouting department including Hogan, there is no one to extend contract negotiations until they come back on Monday morning...

no but he brings a different mindset for an extra couple million it is worth it...
there is a lack of fight for Wilson and well Jensen will fight for whomever is his QB...
not saying McGovern didn't get better but they are always looking to improve, and they feel this would be a better fit...

this one makes a lot of sense and has been floating around since late in the season. Connor has trouble with stunting DL so an upgrade I feel was always in the cards. Wouldn't hurt to bring an edge to the OL.
