That's his boy so he is going to catch his back. But it is clear to anyone who has watched a game that LaFleur is fucking clueless and doesn't know WTF he is doing. I'm really curious as to who is making the half-time adjustments, because I'm pretty sure it isn't LaFleur.

Yup, Saleh is going to swim or sink with that guy because they’re boys and best friends with his brother.

It’s time for Saleh to start telling Lafleur not necessarily the plays to call but when to run and when to pass, and hopefully Lafleur can do better that way. They have to try this. If not the entire game then when it’s most critical.

copy cat league, right?

Zach likes taking shots and we have not shown the ability to run the ball down an opponent's throat, nor the ability to get screens going, jet sweeps going, or the TE & slots going in a respectable way. so take away what Zach does well.

I do not think he is clueless.
I do think he needs to be in the booth.

the field is 53.33 yards in width, and i have a feeling the rookie OC is being bit by optical illusions he thinks he is seeing when looking at different levels of the defense. what might appear to be holes are not, and what might appear to be blanketed are open...but it takes a seasoned play caller to know where a seasoned defensive play caller has his defenders positioned so they can move to spots for coverage on given plays.

but then again, most of even the seasoned OC's are in the booth to see those things.

Mike, WADR, Zach doesn't need you tell him what you are both seeing after the fact. he needs to know where holes are before he takes the snaps.

the play concept is advanced...

look at Matt Ryan and Arthur Smith simple concept and he flourished against us...

Zach needs to grow within the offense not have to learn all the niches on day one... Wrong way to teach... Especially when the kid can not throw a short 3 yard route without hitting the OL in the way of the receiver in this case RB...

+1000

Ryan executed the simple et nauseum and then bludgeoned when the opportunity arose.

LOL...he'll get better on the quick hitches and short throws 😉 it isn't his game yet. but i bet he's working on it.
i liken practicing those types of throws to a golfer working on 300 3 foot putts before a round; just need the muscle memory...and go figure the longer putts and throws are pretty much the same motion elongated.

New OC is learning. Problem is the wrong people on Offense for his system to work. 49ers Offense Line and WRs and RBs are way above Jets. Maybe if Jets had a good big RB and 2 good WRs he could play his system with weak O Line. So HC having his back is good for now. If he keeps getting QB confidence beat down then HC might step in. GM get some help!

are you fucking kidding me...
5 games in and his predetermined scripted game plan has resulted in 0 points in the 1st quarter...
so maybe he should learn NOT to script and fly by the seat of his pants and feel the game out rather plan what or how to start...

Enough with these players are not good enough, that is horse shit... It is not the players fumbling around it is the coaching staff who are not new to doing their specific jobs...

maybe "IF" you can stop criticizing them long enough you would see the potential rather than shit on them every sentence you write here...

I think that Salah has a great personality to become a terrific head coach. However, to me the problem with the team and the coaching staff in general is that there is simply too much youth and/or inexperience in too many places. Precisely *because* the squad is so young, it would have made much more sense to have a more experienced coaching staff. A good analogy would be when a rookie manager in baseball hires a bench coach who has previously managed at the major league level. Instead we have a rookie head coach *and* a rookie offensive coordinator who has*never* called plays before. This was, frankly, an arrogant plan to begin with. LaFleur might someday be a good coordinator, but right now he resides in the sub-Gase basement. Harsh, but accurate. Has he called a single slant play this season? Why do his route trees take so long to develop? Why can’t he start games with a few dinks and dunks to get Zach into a good rhythm, where can actually plant his back foot and throw? Why are our horrific tight ends getting so many targets? Why are our wide receivers having so much trouble getting separation? I could type for an hour, but....
One last point: If this continues, does anyone see Salah firing his best friend’s brother?
I lied: One more point. I am sick and tired of hiring people who come from the tree of some alleged guru, and assuming that we are getting the guru himself!

he will give him the benefit of the doubt but understands his new role and will make the changes when or if they need to be made...

like he said now that he is the head coach there is no more favorites, everyone's actions reflect on him and he needs to hold everyone accountable otherwise everyone will be replaced including him...

Not so much on the defensive side, because the D is playing well once they get hit in the mouth, but perhaps an "offensive consultant" for LaFleur.

Yet to see one, but you'd think you'd see a bunch with Cory and Cole in what is supposed to be a quick hitting offense.

Why do his route trees take so long to develop?

Goes back to the slants, right? there doesn't seem to be quick hitters to build the longer developing plays off of. Which makes you wonder if Cory is your number one target, and the offense is supposed to be an underneath the coverage passing game, why are his routes always so vertical?

Why can’t he start games with a few dinks and dunks to get Zach into a good rhythm, where can actually plant his back foot and throw?

...and/or force the running game on the first few plays of the first couple of series so Zach isn't throwing 3rd and long. then, for the rest of the game, the dinks and dunks are there on first and second downs.

...also, maybe some designed boot legs where he has access to an easy crossing route. but Zach can't throw the ball at their feet either.

Why are our horrific tight ends getting so many targets?

another great question would be, if our TE's are essentially one year guys anyway, and this team is not fighting for a playoff spot, why not see how complete Yeboah can be, because one thing we know he can do is catch/and catch contested balls. But the answer to that seems like asking why Mims isn't playing, and being told "because he isn't ready"...while the guys in front of him are setting the world ON ICE.

“Setting the world on ice...”. Good one! Wish I had thought of that.
