He is so dry
OMG, Darnolds out all the time and when he does play he is in panic mode holding the ball not passing to wide open WRs. Im tired of watching this crap. Deer in headlights. Not sure if we put a great O Line in front giving him 6 seconds to pass would be enough. Thats what happened when he got hurt with WRs waving they were open for 6 seconds from snap. The injury wouldnt have happened if he passed the ball! But Darnold is so terrified he cant see WRs down field when open. Darnold gets usually 3 seconds or more to pass, run, throw away. Settle down Darnold.
Even the play he got hurt on, shouldn’t of happened. Meaning, Cager was open streaking across the middle of the field, had his man beat. Darnold, should’ve seen him and should’ve thrown him the ball. He wouldn’t have gotten hit, wouldn’t be hurt right now.
Watching the games over, you see plays where Darnold forces the ball into his first read or predetermines before the snap, where he’s going with the ball.
You’ll see, on some instances, not all or many, where Darnold is missing(not seeing) open receivers.
Im not suggesting, this offense/scheme is a good one and Darnolds the problem, but I’m saying there are plays, sometimes, where Darnold is the problem or not seeing an open receiver.

he is not trusting what he sees...
because when he listens to Gase, and trusts what Gase says it goes bad...
so now he either has to step back and realize what he pre reads from the side line is the correct view point and maybe when he comes back he will rip it then hold it for the hot route that Gase is drumming into his headset...

If I'm Darnold I tell JD that I will be shutting it down for the year to allow my shoulder to rest. Then he should hope the Jets get the #1 pick and then he can leave this shitty organization by getting traded.
This guy goes through an annual injury! Just can't have your franchise laying on a QB who can never stay healthy.
Yes he doesn't have competent coaching around him, and I'm sure that is also playing into his equation of "how hurt he really is", but at the end of the day "he can't count on the coaching staff and they can't count on him"
