I will say this, the Jets looking better than expected and winning a few games everyone thought they would lose is a good but fleeting feeling.Looking at the schedule, they might beat the Browns, Dolphins and maybe the Bills.Maybe pull off a shocker and beat another team that they should've probably lost to.They might end up with a 5-11 or 6-10 record, that is their max IMO.
Going into next years draft, i believe us as a fan base, are going to be sick when we fall out of the top of the draft and aren't in the immediate mix for a top QB.
Then , if they want to move up, the kings ransom that'll be paid will delete the much needed draft picks that could propel a young roster to continually competitiveness that would excite this fan base much more than continuing to be a 6-10, 7-9 team that is adrift in a sea of mediocrity.
Right now, the Jets would have the 9th pick if they were the worst 2-2 team in the league. Any draftniks now the point scale to move up to 3/2/1 from #9?
Yesterdays game was great, exciting. The team showed plenty of heart and are looking well coached for a change. I'll admit, i was hoping theJags just eeked out the win in O T.
I know that right now we shouldn't worry about the draft and no pick is a sure thing no matter where they are picked, but 6-10 does absolutely nothing for me with a 38 year old journey QB.
If the Jets were doing what they are doing right now with Petty or Hackenberg, then it would be a totally different story.
