Forgive me if any of this post is incorrect, as I haven’t done any research on this:
I’ve been a NY Jets fan since 1982 and it’s the same ole shit with this team. Yes we have had some pretty good years since then but that is few and very far in between. In 1982, that was the AFC Championship game against the Dolphins. That was the game that got me hooked on this damn team and it was probably the worse day of my life. I was twelve years old back then and how dumb was I for getting sucked in on this team. Should have become a Giants fan.
Since then, we’ve had about 10-15 more head coaches, 15-20 more starting QBs. Maybe even more than that! Yes we had the Bill Parcels years that lasted about 3-4 seasons and that was very successful. A few years later was the Herman Edwards years and that wasn’t that bad either. We went to the playoffs with him 2-3 times I believe. The Eric Mangini era wasn’t to successful from what I can remember. Of course there was the Rex Ryan years and the two AFC championship tries. Very successful 2-3 years with him also.
Todd Bowles isn’t even worth mentioning and this asshole Gase is even worse than that! My point here is it appears we’ve had SO many more down years then good ones, and every few years it’s back to the same ole bullshit with this team. New HC, new GM, new QB, new coaching staff, new roster but the same ole freaking results! Rebuilding and rebuilding and rebuilding just to rebuild again! Now we are dealing with Gase and he is supposed to be taking Darnold to another level but Darnold is actually regressing.
So now it appears and PLEASE GOD let this be the case that Gase will be gone by the end of the season! Problem is Darnold may be gone with him. The new HC just might want to go the Trevor Lawrence #1 draft pick pick way. This is just a revolving door of bullshit and I truly just can’t take this anymore. It’s been over thirty years that I’ve been rooting for this team with no Super Bowl wins. Not even an SB appearance let alone a victory. I was to young to see the only one they did win. I was born a year after that happened!
Maybe it’s the owner and his research and hiring crew that’s the problem here! Something has to change soon and I mean real soon because this is becoming truly unbearable. For those of you that have been fans longer that thirty plus years, how in the holy hell do you do it? Maybe it’s because you’ve actually seen this team win the big one that it keeps you going! The rest of us that haven’t had the pleasure, it’s just the same ole misery of rooting for this loser franchise!
