Both are more important long term than to save Adam Gase's job... Gase would do well to look out for these two... Both would push to get back on the field even though neither are one hundred percent because they want to help the team succeed, but reaggravating their current injuries could make for a longer recovery thereafter...
We all know Gase is hoping one or both will be ready for next week's game...
Why did we sign Joe Flacco? For this specific reason, now that it is here use it don't be selfish and risk the team's future...
Why did we agree to George Fant that he can try to be the left tackle? Mekhi is a beast but he needs rest to get stronger... Fant for three weeks could either show he can be that guy and elevate his trade stock for a team in need... Three games is not the end of the world and the Jets in this year with everyone going on the team would look good for doing something smart...
Don't know the status of Chuma Edoga but he is a capable right tackle... For the intermediate future the Jets could give Fant that shot with Edoga on the right side... Worse case scenario Fant gets Flacco killed and then the walls will continue to creep in on Adam Gase's hot seat...
