Glad to see the Jets are interested...

This would make for an interesting debate. A coach like Harbaugh would likely cost us our first round pick. Would the Jets value a top tier head coach like Harbaugh or a Franchise QB like Mariota/Winston more?

I really hope we don't trade for him. I wouldn't mind having him but not for a draft pick, would take my chances with pep hamilton before giving up a pick.

I'd go nuts if we trade for him a high draft pick. I'd be okay for a fourth but no way anything above that. No coach is worth it, it's the players that make the coach at times. For example, Belichicken is nothing with out Brady. He's a great coach but he needs that great player. Maybe Mariota or Winston can be the Brady for us. Hoping it's Mariota. If I choose, franchise qb or coach -- always picking the qb.

Respectfully, I couldn't disagree more.

If you're not on the Harbaugh bandwagon, that's fine. But going on the assumption that he is a quality HC, I grab him the moment he's available. There's a MUCH better chance of finding a quality QB outside of the 1st round than finding a quality HC just laying around.

Get a "winning program" going here, then look for the pieces that will take us the distance . . .

A winning program is built by the GM then the coach. If a GM brings in good players then that coach will be able to win, whoever he chooses.

I think the game has changed and it's more reliant on superstars than it ever was in the past. Idk why i feel like that but i just do. Maybe it's just me being discouraged by this Jets team this season. I truly believe that we'll never see a SB won by a Trent Dilfer type QB anymore. This league is just too dependent on superstar qbs.

A team like the packers will never have a season as bad as ours with Rodgers as qb. Nor will the Pats.

With what was being called the best roster in the NFL the 9'er are 7-5. If the Riders are involved, the Jets would probably have to give up an early 1st round pick. Do we really want to do that?

I am not saying I would do that, but a quality HC in the NFL is gold.

Much as I think Harbaugh would be an instant upgrade on Rex, he seems to have a limited shelf life before his style grates on the players. Though the Jets' recent draft history may suggest otherwise, if they pick the right player, they could have a stud for up to a decade. I doubt Jim lasts that long in any location, let alone New York. Would rather keep the draft picks and take a risk on a bright coaching prospect. There's no doubt that the Raiders would offer San Fransisco their first round pick.

He's ruffling feathers in the power structure of the 49ers like Parcells use to.
Niners just want to get "something" for him so he'll go where he wants to go unlike a player being traded you can't send a coach somewhere unless he agrees to it.
Let's hope Harbaugh doesn't want to go to Oakland. Send a 3rd & be done with it. BB is an azzhole too but he's a great coach. You guys want a guy that instills discipline, knows offense, can work with young players, then you do what you can to get someone like Harbaugh.
He's a guy that you hate unless he's on your side. If he thinks Winston or Mariota could be franchise QBs similar to him starting Kap at least you have a coach that has 100% input on that QBs progress.

This is the scenario I would be on board with. The main reason I like Harbaugh is his ability to develop QB's if he gets us a possible franchise QB I wouldnt care if he left after 4 years. I just cant see him coming to NY.

I do a 3rd for him ... Please don't make me have to decide on a 2 ... I don't trade the 1
