In an interview with USA Today, Broncos coach Sean Payton called the work Nathaniel Hackett did with the 2022 Broncos "one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL'' and took a shot at the Jets for trying to win the offseason.

A comment like that coming from a coach of Payton's caliber or any NFL coach would be out of character. Therefore I can only think that Payton's comment is the by product of some more serious medical issue. I hope he gets whatever help he needs.

Don't disagree with what he said about Hackett. He was horrendous as HC. Payton is 100 % correct. Fortunately he is a coordinator here, and he has proven he can be successful with Rodgers at the position.
Dont agreed about the Jets seeking out media attention, that comes the big name signings , it is just unavoidable.

Just seems throwing one of your own under the bus like that (which could have negative career effects if other organizations take this seriously), just seems like a never do to me!

Even if he screwed up royally, just seems like Payton should have caught a fellow brothers back and just said “mistakes may have been made, we’re doing our best to put the best product forward”.

Now what’s he gonna say if he finishes with a worse record? Or if Wilson is a fraud and sucks it up again next season “I’m thinking Pete Carroll had more to do with his success than Russell wants to admit to”

It reminds me of how Rex Ryan used the media to deflect attention away from Sanchez. Man the start of the regular season can't come soon enough.

Who gives a shit about Payton? Overrated…… Won a SB… got suspended… won a decent amount of games in a shitty division, but was a quick out in the playoffs most of the time (except twice). Plus he was a shitty analyst on TV
